Bringing Black Narratives to the gaming industry. We had the opportunity to conduct a two week work experience with The Sheffield College/ NextGen Skills Academy. Over the two weeks the students were split into groups. Following our brief, they built games inspired by various themes and influenced by black culture which they researched. They then found fun and interesting ways of putting it into their games.

This is a steppingstone at educating young people on how they can create diverse games and learning how to create meaningful narrative games, and through this process of learning about Black culture and finding out new information. Barriers are broken, people are learning and the gaming industry can flourish with new and exciting ideas.
